COVID-19 Update
Due to the recent coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) we are seeing unprecedented changes to the way in which healthcare is being delivered. The NHS has now block-booked almost the entire countries’ private health facilities, and this will have an impact on the delivery of private healthcare.
I may have to cancel clinics or procedures at short notice if I need to self isolate, or if I am required to support my colleagues in my NHS work in the Acute Trust. I apologise in advance if I do need to do this, and I hope that you will understand under these difficult circumstances.
I am planning to undertake all follow up consultations as telephone consultations in order to reduce the need for face-to-face contact. For new appointments, I am offering video consultations through the Top Doctors website. Appointments can be requested here. Please note that video consultations will involve talking about your private health matters, and do have limitations in that I will be unable to physically examine you.
As we see the full effects of this pandemic, it is likely that access to investigations will become limited. Please also note, that from 15 April I will be unable to offer any routine elective operations to any patients, private or NHS, until such a time that the Government feels it is safe to do so.
