Academic Activity
Throughout my career I have maintained an interest in academic surgery and have published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles, together with a number of book chapters and reports. I have presented my work at a large number of national and international surgical meetings.
Whilst undertaking my research degree, I helped establish the National Ileal Pouch Registry, which serves to track outcomes following this complex operation for patients with ulcerative colitis and familial adenomatous polyposis.
I am a reviewer for a number of journals, including British Journal of Surgery, Colorectal Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. My reviewing activity can be seen on the Publons website.
